Domaine Deiss Marcel

Domaine Marcel Deiss, located in Bergheim at the heart of Alsace, stands as one of the region's absolute references. Founded in 1947, the estate cultivates 32 hectares under biodynamic viticulture and distinguishes itself through the ancestral practice of complantation — the art of blending up to 13 Alsatian grape varieties in a single parcel to reveal the pure expression of terroir. Led by Mathieu Deiss, supported by his father Jean-Michel, the domaine produces wines of exceptional complexity and depth, from three Grands Crus (Altenberg de Bergheim, Schoenenbourg, Mambourg) and nine self-proclaimed Premiers Crus.

The Domaine Marcel Deiss Altenberg de Bergheim Grand Cru 2021 is an outstanding white wine from Alsace, sourced from one of the region's most emblematic parcels. This wine is a complantation — a field blend of 13 traditional Alsatian grape varieties vinified together — embodying the domaine's philosophy: expressing terroir over varietal character. Farmed under certified biodynamic practices (Demeter), this Grand Cru delivers aromatic complexity and mineral tension that rank it among Alsace's finest expressions.
