    • Roussanne and Marsanne : This appellation produces delicate white wines from the Chenin Blanc grape. Vouvray wines can be dry, or sweet, offering a range of aromas from citrus fruits to exotic fruits, honey, and dried fruits.

Languedoc-Roussillon also offers several renowned appellations, some of which are recognized for their quality and distinct identity:

  • AOC Corbières: Known for its red and rosé wines, this appellation offers structured and expressive wines.
  • AOC Minervois: Renowned for its elegant red wines, this appellation produces balanced wines with aromas of red fruits, spices, and the "garrigue" (the Mediterranean scrubland).
  • AOC Fitou: Famous for its powerful and complex red wines, this appellation is one of the oldest in Languedoc-Roussillon.
  • AOC Côtes du Roussillon: This appellation produces a wide variety of red, white, and rosé wines, offering fresh and fruity wines, as well as more full-bodied and concentrated ones.
