Domaine Abbe Rous

Cave de l'Abbé Rous, located in Banyuls-sur-Mer in the Pyrénées-Orientales, is a cooperative winery founded in 1950 that brings together 750 growers cultivating 1,150 hectares of terraced vineyards on schist soils. Specialising in AOP Collioure, Banyuls and Banyuls Grand Cru, it produces a comprehensive range of dry wines and natural sweet wines made primarily from Grenache noir, Grenache gris and Grenache blanc, with recognised expertise in the ageing of Banyuls. Under the direction of cellarmaster Jauffrey Canier, the winery perpetuates the ancestral tradition of oxidative ageing whilst raising the quality level of its cuvées, destined for specialist wine merchants and restaurants.
