Domaine Ferraton

Founded in 1946 in Tain-l'Hermitage, Maison Ferraton Père & Fils stands today as one of the leading estates of the Rhône Valley. Owner of 18 hectares in Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage and Saint-Joseph, the estate crafts its wines using biodynamic farming certified Demeter since 2010, on exceptional terroirs planted with Syrah, Marsanne and Roussanne. Led by winemaker Damien Brisset since 2005, Ferraton perpetuates the heritage of Jean Orëns Ferraton and his son Michel, while embracing a vision resolutely focused on single-vineyard expression and natural balance.

The 2012 Hermitage Le Méal from Domaine Ferraton Père et Fils is a single-vineyard selection from the Le Méal lieu-dit, one of the most renowned slopes of the Hermitage hill. This 100% Syrah comes from approximately 30-year-old vines, cultivated biodynamically, on south-facing terraces of rounded pebbles.
