Château Mangot

Château Mangot is a family-owned estate in Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé located in the commune of Saint-Étienne-de-Lisse. Elevated to this rank in 2022, the estate spans 34 hectares farmed under certified organic and biodynamic principles. Led since 2008 by brothers Karl and Yann Todeschini, the third generation of winemakers, Château Mangot crafts expressive wines from a remarkable clay-limestone terroir divided into 21 parcels, primarily planted with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Château Mangot Todeschini Distique 14 2021 is an exceptional cuvée from the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation, crafted by the Todeschini brothers. Composed entirely of Cabernet Franc for the 2021 vintage, this wine breaks from the traditional blend (40% Cabernet Franc, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot) to offer a rare profile in the appellation. Aged in new oak barrels, Distique 14 embodies duality and the pursuit of balance between barrel and amphora, paying tribute to Ausonius' epigrams.
