Château Lagrange

Château Lagrange, Third Classified Growth in 1855, spans 118 hectares in a single block within the Saint-Julien appellation. Owned by the Japanese Suntory group since 1983, the estate embodies a spectacular renaissance orchestrated by Matthieu Bordes, general manager and winemaker. The vineyard, dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon (67%), complemented by Merlot (28%) and Petit Verdot (5%), flourishes on two Günzian gravel ridges — one of which reaches the appellation's highest point. The Lagrange style combines structural power with elegance, displaying remarkable consistency that makes it one of the Médoc's most reliable values.
