Clos des Vignes du Maynes

The Clos des Vignes du Maynes is a historic estate located in Cruzille in the Mâconnais, whose origins date back to the year 910, the founding year of Cluny Abbey. Farmed organically since 1952 and in Demeter-certified biodynamics since 1998, this 7-hectare clos produces wines from Chardonnay, Gamay and Pinot Noir of remarkable purity. Today directed by Julien Guillot, the estate embodies a rare viticultural singularity: soils never treated chemically, demanding biodynamic viticulture and natural vinifications with indigenous yeasts, without added sulphur or in minimal doses.
