Domaine Abbatucci

Domaine Comte Abbatucci, located in the Taravo Valley of Southern Corsica, stands as one of the island's oldest vineyards. Led by Jean-Charles Abbatucci and his daughter Faustine, this 21-hectare estate has been farmed biodynamically (Demeter certified) since 2000 and cultivates a unique collection of 18 indigenous Corsican grape varieties rescued from extinction. Triple-starred by La Revue du Vin de France, it produces Vin de France wines of exceptional minerality from granite sand soils, serving as true ambassadors of Corsican terroir.

The 2023 Empire cuvée from Domaine Abbatucci is an Extra Brut sparkling wine produced using the traditional method, crafted from 100% of the indigenous grape variety Barbarossa. Planted in the Taravo valley in Southern Corsica, this rare and limited wine expresses the full singularity of Jean-Charles Abbatucci and his daughter Faustine's biodynamic work on high-altitude granitic sands.
