Domaine Des Fosse Seche

Château de Fosse-Sèche is a historic estate in the Pays de Loire region, located in Vaudelnay within the Saumur area. Founded by Benedictine monks over 800 years ago, it spans 45 hectares with 15 hectares of biodynamically farmed vineyards. Since 2012, Guillaume and Adrien Pire have been crafting remarkably pure white and red Saumur wines from Chenin, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon, grown on a unique terroir of flint and iron oxide. Certified Ecocert and Biodyvin, the estate is a model of ecological commitment, classified as an LPO bird sanctuary, where biodiversity occupies two-thirds of the property.

Château de Fosse-Sèche Gondwana 2020 is a Vin de France red wine from the Saumur region, crafted by brothers Guillaume and Adrien Pire from 60-year-old Cabernet Franc vines. Named after the supercontinent formed 550 million years ago, this cuvée expresses the singularity of a unique Jurassic terroir in the Loire Valley, farmed using certified organic and biodynamic practices (Ecocert and Biodyvin).
