Domaine Nicolas Rossignol

Domaine Nicolas Rossignol stands as one of the essential names in Burgundy, with around thirty appellations spanning approximately 20 hectares in the heart of Volnay and Pommard. Nicolas Rossignol, fifth-generation winegrower in Volnay, established his own estate in 1997 and has since developed a range of Pinot Noir of remarkable precision, balancing finesse with intensity. Inspired by biodynamics and driven by a constant pursuit of balance, he crafts wines that faithfully express the diversity of Côte de Beaune terroirs.

The Volnay 1er Cru Santenots 2015 from Domaine Nicolas Rossignol is a characterful Volnay from one of Burgundy's most distinctive climats. Though located in the commune of Meursault, this Pinot Noir is classified as Volnay Premier Cru due to its clay and iron-rich terroir, particularly suited to red wines. The 2015 vintage, considered one of the finest of the decade, delivers concentration, power and impressive ageing potential.
