The Cornas wine appellation is located in the Ardèche department, on the right bank of the Rhône, approximately 7 km from Valence. It is limited to the commune of Cornas, which extends over an amphitheater of steep hillsides facing east and south-east, from 125 to 400 m above sea level.

The Cornas terroir is made up of granite soils, which give the wines their unique character. These soils are rich in iron, which gives the wines their dark red color and their powerful tannins. They are also shallow, which favors the concentration of aromas.

Syrah is the only grape variety authorized in the Cornas appellation. It is planted on soils of different types, which makes it possible to obtain a great diversity of wines. Cornas wines are generally powerful and full-bodied, with aromas of black fruits, garrigue and spices.

Cornas is a prestigious wine appellation, which produces exceptional wines capable of aging for many years, and over time develop complex and refined aromas.
