Dominio De Tares

Dominio de Tares is a pioneering estate in the DO Bierzo, founded in 2000 in northwestern Spain. Specialising in indigenous varieties Mencía and Godello, the estate cultivates 30 hectares of vines aged 40 to 110 years on the slate and clay soils of San Román de Bembibre. Since 2014, winemaker Rafael Somonte has been crafting wines of pure expression, fermented with indigenous yeasts since 2007, that have helped position Bierzo among Spain's leading appellations.
