Champagne De Sousa

Champagne De Sousa, a family estate established in Avize in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, has been cultivating exceptional Grand Cru Chardonnay on chalky soils for three generations. A pioneer of biodynamic viticulture in Champagne since 1999, certified Demeter in 2013, the house is renowned for its old vines over 50 years of age and horse plowing across part of the vineyard. Charlotte, Julie and Valentin De Sousa now carry forward the vision of excellence established by their father Erick, crafting champagnes of precision—crystalline, mineral and highly regarded at France's finest restaurants.

The Cuvée des Caudalies from Champagne De Sousa is an outstanding blanc de blancs crafted from Chardonnay sourced from vines over 50 years old. Fully vinified in oak barrels and enhanced by a perpetual reserve established in 1995, this Champagne Grand Cru expresses the mineral purity of the Côte des Blancs and the biodynamic philosophy of the family estate established in Avize for three generations.
