Domaine Gerin Jean Michel

Domaine Jean-Michel Gerin is one of the leading estates in Côte-Rôtie, established in Ampuis for six generations. Founded in 1983 by Jean-Michel Gerin, the domaine now extends over approximately twenty hectares in the northern Rhône Valley, covering the appellations of Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu, and Saint-Joseph. Managed for several years by his sons Michaël and Alexis, the estate produces internationally acclaimed wines known for their controlled power, depth, and ageing potential, exemplified by the emblematic single-vineyard cuvées Les Grandes Places, La Landonne, and La Viallière.

The Condrieu Les Eguets 2022 from Domaine Jean-Michel Gerin is a single-vineyard Viognier from granitic terroir located in the commune of Chavanay, at the southern end of the appellation. Acquired in 2010 from Yves Cuilleron, this 0.5-hectare parcel produces an aromatic white wine of great richness, aged 12 months in demi-muids with 25% new oak.
