Domaine Guigal

Founded in 1946 by Étienne Guigal in Ampuis, the birthplace of the Côte-Rôtie appellation, Domaine Guigal is today one of the world's leading references in the Rhône Valley. Led by Philippe Guigal, an oenologist representing the third generation, the house owns over 215 hectares of vines spread across the greatest Rhône appellations — Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu, Hermitage, Saint-Joseph, Crozes-Hermitage, and Châteauneuf-du-Pape — and produces exceptional wines primarily from Syrah and Viognier. The three single-vineyard Côte-Rôtie cuvées La Mouline, La Turque, and La Landonne, nicknamed "the LaLaLa," rank among the most collected Syrah wines in the world.

Côte-Rôtie La Turque 2015 from Domaine Guigal ranks among the finest wines of the northern Rhône Valley. A co-fermented blend of 93% Syrah and 7% Viognier, it originates from a unique 1-hectare parcel on the Côte Brune, replanted by the Guigal family in 1980-1981. Stylistically positioned between La Mouline and La Landonne, this wine combines mineral power and floral finesse, driven by siliceous limestone terroir rich in iron oxides and the only southern exposure in the appellation to capture sunlight from dawn to dusk.
