Domaine Cartaux-Bougaud

The Domaine Cartaux-Bougaud is a 20-hectare family estate located in the heart of the Jura, covering the Côtes du Jura and L'Étoile appellations. Founded in 1973 by Anne-Marie Bougaud and Guy Cartaux, the estate is now run by their son Sébastien Cartaux and his partner Sandrine, independent winegrowers who achieved organic certification in 2022. The domaine produces primarily white wines from Chardonnay and Savagnin, along with reds from Poulsard, Trousseau and Pinot Noir, and the full range of Jura specialities: vin jaune, vin de paille, crémant and macvin.

Domaine Cartaux-Bougaud Poulsard 2023 is a red wine from the Jura region under the Côtes du Jura AOC, crafted exclusively from the emblematic Poulsard grape variety. This independent winemaker, certified organic since 2022, cultivates 20 hectares across the communes of Quintigny, Ruffey-sur-Seille and Arlay. The 2023 vintage, considered exceptional in the region, stands out for its promising ageing potential and remarkable aromatic purity.

L'avis de Vitis Epicuria

La robe rubis presque transparente est piégeante car elle laisse supposer que le vin est beaucoup plus vieux que son âge. C'est la première surprise que nous réserve le poulsard, ce cépage jurassien qui mériterait d'être plus souvent mis en avant. Le vin se présente ensuite tout en finesse, tant sur son profil aromatique qui joint les épices aux fruits des bois très mûrs, que sur sa texture d'une douceur confondante. Un vrai vin de plaisir qu'on aime ouvrir entre amis et qu'on regrette d'avoir bu trop vite !
