Castillo Perelada

Castillo Perelada is one of the leading wine estates of DO Empordà, the oldest winemaking region in the Iberian Peninsula. Founded in 1923 by Miguel Mateu Pla within a medieval Catalan castle, this family-owned property now manages 138 hectares across five distinct estates in northeastern Catalonia. Under the stewardship of the Suqué Mateu family, the estate produces both still wines and cava with a new state-of-the-art winery awarded LEED Gold certification, the first in Europe to achieve this environmental distinction.
