Domaine Apatsagi

Domaine Apatsagi (Pannonhalmi Apátsági Pincészet) is one of the oldest wine estates in Hungary, located in the Pannonhalma region in the northwestern part of the country. Founded in 996 by Benedictine monks of the Pannonhalma Archabbey, this thousand-year-old estate was revived in 2000 after Communist confiscations. Today, the estate spans 50 hectares, primarily devoted to white wines with Rhine Riesling at the forefront, along with Pinot Noir for reds. Led by chief winemaker Zsolt Liptai, the estate produces high-quality wines that express with precision this exceptional UNESCO World Heritage terroir.
