Domaine Omina Romana

Founded in 2007 by Anton F. Börner in Velletri, within the Castelli Romani hills of Lazio, Ômina Romana embodies the renaissance of a wine region steeped in history, where Etruscans and Romans cultivated vines over 2,500 years ago. Across 60 hectares of volcanic soils at 250 metres elevation, 25 kilometres from the Tyrrhenian Sea, the estate crafts characterful wines from international varieties — Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Viognier — alongside native Cesanese. Today led by Katharina Börner, second generation, the estate champions an exacting philosophy, Mens et Manus, uniting science and craftsmanship to reveal the mineral, volcanic expression of this Lazio terroir.
