Domaine Sylvain Pataille stands as one of the leading estates in Marsannay, within Burgundy. Founded in 1999 by Sylvain Pataille, a renowned consulting oenologist, the domaine now spans 15 hectares farmed organically and biodynamically. A champion of the Aligoté grape and passionate advocate for Marsannay terroirs, Sylvain Pataille crafts a range of around twenty cuvées — Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Aligoté Doré — with a minimal-intervention approach and absolute respect for the expression of each lieu-dit.

Domaine Sylvain Pataille Marsannay Le Chapitre 2023 embodies the rebirth of a historic climat now integrated into the Marsannay appellation. This Pinot Noir comes from an outstanding terroir in Chenôve, at the gates of Dijon, cultivated biodynamically on grèzes litées and white oolite limestone. Vinified with whole clusters and aged 18 months in barrels, it expresses the purity and mineral tension characteristic of the Pataille style.
