Domaine Henri Gouges

Domaine Henri Gouges is one of the most distinguished estates in Nuits-Saint-Georges, with 14 hectares planted exclusively within this flagship Burgundy appellation. Founded in 1920, the domaine is renowned for seven iconic red Premiers Crus (Pinot Noir) and a rare white wine made from Pinot Gouges, a natural mutation discovered by Henri Gouges himself. Today managed by cousins Grégory and Antoine Gouges (fourth generation), the estate farms organically and produces pure, age-worthy wines of remarkable depth, including the family monopole Clos des Porrets Saint-Georges.

The Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Vaucrains 2007 from Domaine Henri Gouges embodies the elegance of the 2007 vintage in Burgundy. Sourced from one of Nuits-Saint-Georges' finest climats, this Pinot Noir is distinguished by its freshness, light tannins and vibrant fruit, typical of a vintage that favoured finesse over structure.
