Domaine De Chevalier

Domaine de Chevalier, Grand Cru Classé de Graves for both red and white wines since 1953, stands out for its unique location surrounded by the Landes forest near Léognan. Owned by the Bernard family since 1983, the estate spans 67 hectares of vines planted on deep gravel soils with clay-gravel subsoils. Led by Olivier Bernard alongside his sons Hugo and Adrien, the domaine crafts wines of remarkable elegance and finesse, driven by a committed approach to organic and biodynamic viticulture.

The Domaine de Chevalier Blanc 2016 is one of the finest dry white wines from Pessac-Léognan, crafted from 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Sémillon. Sourced from 30-year-old vines located west and south of Léognan, this Grand Cru Classé de Graves expresses the mineral finesse characteristic of the estate, combining concentration, freshness and tension. Aged 18 months in barrels, 35% new oak, the 2016 offers cellaring potential of two decades or more.
