Domaine Gérard Boulay is based in Chavignol, the most prestigious hamlet of the Sancerre appellation, renowned for its Kimmeridgian terroirs. Gérard Boulay cultivates around ten hectares of vines in Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, primarily on the legendary lieux-dits of Monts Damnés, Clos de Beaujeu, and La Grande Côte. Since 1990, the estate has practised uncertified organic viticulture with minimal intervention in the cellar, producing wines of exceptional purity and minerality, ranked among the appellation's elite alongside Cotat and Vatan.
