Mas Daumas Gassac

Founded in 1971 by Véronique and Aimé Guibert in Aniane, Mas de Daumas Gassac stands as one of the pioneering estates of modern Languedoc. Dubbed the 'Lafite of the Languedoc' by Gault&Millau as early as 1982, this 50-hectare estate rests on exceptional glacial scree soils comparable to those of Burgundy's Côte d'Or. Cultivating over 40 non-cloned grape varieties including 80% Cabernet Sauvignon for the red, the estate produces IGP Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert wines of remarkable finesse and complexity. Today led by Samuel, Gaël, Roman and Basile Guibert, the domaine perpetuates a pioneering vision, exporting to over 60 countries whilst deliberately forgoing AOC status to better express its singular identity.
