Domaine Pilon Julien

Julien Pilon is a producer-négociant based in Chavanay, in the heart of the northern Rhône Valley. Established in 2010 without land or cellars, the estate has emerged as a rising star through a range of refined dry whites and appealing reds — Condrieu, Hermitage, Saint-Joseph, Côte-Rôtie, Cornas — crafted with precision and finesse. Awarded one star in the Revue du Vin de France Guide Vert in 2022, Julien Pilon embodies a generation of winemakers bringing freshness and modernity to Rhône crus.

Domaine Pilon Julien La Porchette 2018 is a Côte-Rôtie composed of 99% Syrah and 1% Viognier, sourced from the granitic terroirs of Bassenon and the schist soils of Rozier. A rising talent in the northern Rhône Valley, Julien Pilon delivers here a structured and mineral wine, representative of the 2018 vintage, a solar year that produced powerful, age-worthy reds in the northern valley.
