Domaine Clusel Roch

Domaine Clusel Roch stands as one of the benchmark estates in Côte-Rôtie, farming 14 hectares organically certified since 2002 in Ampuis, in the northern Rhône Valley. Guillaume Clusel crafts refined Syrah from old serine vines through massal selection, alongside a rare Condrieu and wines from Coteaux du Lyonnais, all bearing the hallmark of exacting viticulture on the iron-rich micaschist soils that have made the appellation renowned.

Domaine Clusel Roch Les Schistes 2021 is a Côte-Rôtie sourced from ferrous mica schist soils in the northern part of the appellation. A blend of Syrah from massale selection (95%) with a small proportion of co-planted Viognier, this wine is drawn from the lieux-dits Viallière, Champon and Le Plomb. Certified organic since 2002, the domaine expresses the elegance and finesse characteristic of the 2021 vintage in the northern Rhône Valley.
