Domaine Clusel Roch

Domaine Clusel Roch stands as one of the benchmark estates in Côte-Rôtie, farming 14 hectares organically certified since 2002 in Ampuis, in the northern Rhône Valley. Guillaume Clusel crafts refined Syrah from old serine vines through massal selection, alongside a rare Condrieu and wines from Coteaux du Lyonnais, all bearing the hallmark of exacting viticulture on the iron-rich micaschist soils that have made the appellation renowned.

The Côte-Rôtie Champon 2020 from Domaine Clusel Roch originates from the eponymous lieu-dit in the north of the appellation, on ferrous micaschist soils. Certified organic, this wine showcases the precision of massal-selection Syrah (old serines from Ampuis) aged 30 to 60 years. Aged 2 years in oak barrels, it combines concentration, freshness and mineral elegance, the signature of a pioneering biodynamic estate in the northern Rhône Valley.
