Domaine Guigal

Founded in 1946 by Étienne Guigal in Ampuis, the birthplace of the Côte-Rôtie appellation, Domaine Guigal is today one of the world's leading references in the Rhône Valley. Led by Philippe Guigal, an oenologist representing the third generation, the house owns over 215 hectares of vines spread across the greatest Rhône appellations — Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu, Hermitage, Saint-Joseph, Crozes-Hermitage, and Châteauneuf-du-Pape — and produces exceptional wines primarily from Syrah and Viognier. The three single-vineyard Côte-Rôtie cuvées La Mouline, La Turque, and La Landonne, nicknamed "the LaLaLa," rank among the most collected Syrah wines in the world.

Côte-Rôtie La Turque 2006 from Domaine Guigal embodies the meeting of Côte Brune's power and Côte Blonde's finesse. Sourced from a one-hectare parcel planted with 93% Syrah and 7% Viognier, this emblematic cuvée benefits from 42 months' ageing in new oak barrels. The 2006 vintage, structured and marked by freshness, reveals a Côte-Rôtie of great depth, crafted for cellaring.
