Maison Laurent Ponsot

Maison Laurent Ponsot is a singular venture founded in 2017 in Gilly-lès-Cîteaux by Laurent Ponsot and his son Clément. Both domaine — with 7 hectares of owned vineyards — and "haute couture" négociant, the house produces over 25 cuvées in Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, from regional Bourgogne to legendary Grands Crus such as Chambertin, Griotte-Chambertin, Clos Saint-Denis, Montrachet and Corton-Charlemagne. Embodying a pioneering spirit at the crossroads of Burgundian tradition and technological innovation, Laurent Ponsot continues here four decades of research in the service of terroir and authenticity.

Laurent Ponsot En Ergot 1er Cru Cuvée du Mélèze 2020 is a Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru sourced from the La Petite Chapelle parcel, located immediately adjacent to the Grands Crus Chapelle-Chambertin and Clos de Bèze. This Pinot Noir from Burgundy combines structure and finesse, in a 2020 vintage marked by concentration and vibrant freshness. Laurent Ponsot, a "haute couture" négociant-éleveur, farms 0.42 hectare in this historic climat rarely bottled separately, offering a rare and sought-after cuvée.
