Maison Laurent Ponsot

Maison Laurent Ponsot is a singular venture founded in 2017 in Gilly-lès-Cîteaux by Laurent Ponsot and his son Clément. Both domaine — with 7 hectares of owned vineyards — and "haute couture" négociant, the house produces over 25 cuvées in Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, from regional Bourgogne to legendary Grands Crus such as Chambertin, Griotte-Chambertin, Clos Saint-Denis, Montrachet and Corton-Charlemagne. Embodying a pioneering spirit at the crossroads of Burgundian tradition and technological innovation, Laurent Ponsot continues here four decades of research in the service of terroir and authenticity.

The Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru En Ergot Cuvée du Mélèze 2021 from Maison Laurent Ponsot embodies the producer's 'haute couture' philosophy: a precise Gevrey-Chambertin raised without new oak, sourced from the En Ergot climat, a tiny one-hectare enclave nestled within Petite Chapelle, at the base of the Burgundy slope. Vinified with indigenous yeasts and no added sulphites, this Pinot Noir 2021 expresses with honesty a fresh, classic vintage.
