Domaine Henri Rebourseau

Domaine Henri Rebourseau is one of the historic estates of Gevrey-Chambertin, spanning 13.5 hectares of which 5.28 hectares are Grands Crus. Founded in 1919 by General Henri Rebourseau, the estate comprises prestigious parcels in Chambertin, Clos de Bèze, Charmes-Chambertin, Mazis-Chambertin and Clos de Vougeot. Since December 2018, the Bouygues family, owner of Château Montrose, joined the estate as majority shareholders, with Bastien Giraud at the helm since 2023. The vineyards are farmed organically and biodynamically, with a new state-of-the-art winery inaugurated for the 2023 vintage.

Domaine Henri Rebourseau Fonteny 1er Cru 2022 represents one of the most sought-after expressions of Gevrey-Chambertin. From the Fonteny climat, the domaine's only Premier Cru, this Pinot Noir is rooted in 0.88 hectares of limestone soils at the northern end of the Grands Crus, just after Ruchottes-Chambertin. The 2022 vintage, a warm and early year in Burgundy, delivers a concentrated wine that preserves the freshness and minerality characteristic of the climat.
