Domaine Luneau Papin

Domaine Luneau-Papin stands as one of the leading estates in the Loire Valley, specialising in Muscadet Sèvre et Maine. Based in Le Landreau, this 40-hectare certified biodynamic estate elevates Melon de Bourgogne to the status of fine age-worthy wine, through a rigorous single-parcel approach across exceptional terroirs — schist, granite, gneiss and serpentinite. Pierre-Marie and Marie Luneau, the ninth generation of vignerons, today embody an exacting and inspiring viticulture, rewarded with 2 stars by La Revue du Vin de France.

The Clos de l'Allée 2022 from Domaine Luneau-Papin captures the essence of Muscadet Sèvre et Maine with remarkable depth. Sourced from a 2.3-hectare monopole planted in 1974 on altered schists in Le Landreau, this 100% Melon de Bourgogne embodies the biodynamic vision of Pierre-Marie and Marie Luneau. Aged 16 months on the lees in underground vats without racking, it reveals mineral precision and saline complexity, hallmarks of one of the appellation's finest terroirs.
