Domaine Huet

Founded in 1928 in Vouvray, Domaine Huet is the world benchmark for age-worthy Chenin Blanc. Owned by the Hwang family since 2003, this pioneering biodynamic estate (Demeter certified since 1993) cultivates 30 hectares across three exceptional crus: Le Haut-Lieu, Le Mont, and Clos du Bourg. Under winemaker Benjamin Joliveau, the domaine crafts wines of unparalleled purity, tension, and minerality, producing Sec, Demi-Sec, Moelleux, and Pétillant styles according to each vintage.

Domaine Huet Le Mont 1ère Trie 1996 is a sweet Vouvray from the Le Mont vineyard, a jewel of the Première Côte acquired in 1957. Crafted from Chenin Blanc harvested in the first selection, this dessert wine embodies the biodynamic rigour and precision of a pioneering estate. The 1996 vintage, shaped by a dry summer and radiant autumn, yielded concentrated wines of remarkable ageing potential.
