Maison Stephan

Maison Stéphan, established in Tupin-et-Semons in the Côte-Rôtie appellation, is one of the pioneering natural wine estates in the Northern Rhône Valley. Founded in 1991 by Jean-Michel Stéphan, it now covers 10 hectares of vineyards spread between the Côte-Rôtie appellation (5 hectares) and parcels classified as Vin de France. The estate's emblematic grape varieties — Serine, Syrah, and Viognier — yield wines of exceptional purity and freshness, crafted without any additives since 1997. Jean-Michel Stéphan, joined by his son Romain in 2017 and Dorian in 2023, perpetuates a radical and exacting vision of the Rhône terroir, establishing the estate as a reference within its appellation.

The Condrieu Le Tinal 2021 from Maison Stephan is a dry white wine made from 100% Viognier, naturally vinified by Jean-Michel Stephan, a pioneering figure in natural wine in the northern Rhône Valley. Produced in 50 cl format from old vines planted in 1986 on the Le Tinal lieu-dit in Vérin, this wine combines the aromatic intensity of Viognier with the mineral tension of Condrieu's granitic terroir.
